Coloradans Deserve Health Care Without Hidden Costs

Too many hardworking Coloradans and families today are struggling to afford their medical care and access basic health care services due to a pile up of unexpected and costly fees.

In Colorado, a major driver of these suprise charges are hidden health care costs – sometimes called “facility fees,” charged by large hospital chains. The amount of these hidden hospital fees vary widely – from hundreds to thousands of dollars – and patients are often forced to pay out-of-pocket for their care, making it challenging for Coloradans to budget, or plan for, their family’s medical expenses.

As hospital systems buy up clinics and doctor’s practices across our state,  Coloradans and families have become more vulnerable to these egregious, unchecked fees.

Coloradans deserve affordable health care, but hospitals are standing in the way. Join the countless organizations and patient advocates today in supporting House Bill 1215 to curb hidden hospital fees and put hardworking Coloradans above hospital system profits.
